Tree Top Apple Juice has been a staple name in the apple juice market since the 1960s. It’s been around so long, yet many ask “who owns Tree Top Apple Juice?”. As it turns out, many companies have contributed to the success of Tree Top Apple Juice over the years, although now it is owned by The John B. Sanfilippo & Son Company.

Tree Top Apple Juice began back in 1960 when the Sun Orchard Company of Yakima Washington first created the drink. At the time, the goal was to bring fresh and delicious apple juice to consumers across the country. They did this primarily using apples from their orchard, but soon began to source from multiple other orchards. In the early 20’s, Tree Top Apple Juice was bought by Philip Morris brands, and then in 1997, Tree Top officially became a subsidiary of The John B. Sanfilippo & Son Company.

The John B. Sanfilippo & Son Company, founded in 1922, is a multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in Illinois. They manufacture a variety of products, including Tree Top Apple Juice, under the Tree Top label. To this day, The John B. Sanfilippo & Son Company remains the current owners of Tree Top Apple Juice and continues to share their commitment to quality and fruit-forwardness.

Since becoming a subsidiary of Sanfilippo & Son, Tree Top have won numerous awards for their drinks, including the SupplySide Editor’s Choice Award for best new beverage product. In recent years, Tree Top have also began to bottle other juices, including raspberry and cranberry blends, as well as the new Tree Top Peel and Sip offerings.
