History of Joshua Tree<\/h2>\n

Joshua Tree National Park is located in the south-eastern corner of California’s Mojave Desert. The park, which is split into two distinct ecosystems, earned its name from the spiky Yucca Brevifolia commonly known as the Joshua Tree. Archaeologists believe that the Yucca Brevifolia is native to the area, and the trees can live for up to 300 years. Although many species of plant and animals have evolved in the area, a significant percentage of the wildlife here are overnight visitors who come to utilize the sheltered environment.<\/p>\n
