Apple trees need 1 to 2 inches of water per week, whether from rainfall or irrigation. Apply water at the drip line, the area under the outermost branches of the tree.<\/p>\n

It is best to water apple trees deeply and less frequently. Watering once a week is ideal, but make sure to check the soil beforehand. The top inch of the soil should be dry before watering again.<\/p>\n

How often should you water a apple tree? <\/h2>\n

It is important to water your plants regularly, but you should not water them too often. Once every 7- to 10-days (or even once every two weeks) is plenty. Worse than dry, thirsty roots are waterlogged, drowning roots.<\/p>\n

Newly planted apple trees need a lot of water. They should be watered frequently and deeply. In our orchard park, we water our newly planted trees up to three times a week, with three large buckets of water each time. That’s about 15 gallons of water.<\/p>\n
