How to Make a Fake Palm Tree with Lights

Carefully insert the glue gun, which is already loaded with glue, and add a dab of glue to the logs every few inches in order to secure the lights. Make sure to not to damage the strand of lights. Also, ensure you have enough slack between the logs to create a firm, stable shape.
Attach the Logs to the Tree
Using the marks you made earlier, drill a hole on each side of the tree trunk and insert the logs so that they rest snugly against the tree. Secure the logs using the 2 Tek screws, using the flat edge screwdriver to screw it into the tree trunk. Make sure you have adequate spacing and levelness between the logs.
Connect the Wires
On the outside of the tree, drill two small holes in the trunk and run the light’s wires through them. Connect the lights to the switch, ensuring there are no loose connections that could lead to fire or electric shock. Finally, plug the light connector into an electrical outlet to test your work and make sure everything is working properly.
Secure the Lights with Hot Glue
Once you have tested to make sure the lights are working properly, take the glue gun and securely fasten the lights against the sides of the logs. This will give your palm tree a more secure and finished look.

Once the light strands have been securely fastened and the switch has been tested, your palm tree is ready to rock.
